The Yeomen of the Guard Long Beach Theatre reviews
3 opening acts too much
I really enjoyed the performances overall. Personally, I felt Blues Traveler took too much time. Last time Blues Traveler were still performing when I checked, it was 9:17pm. Not sure when The Yeomen of the Guard came on, but I'm sure it was after 9:30pm. You do the math, not enough time in my book. It was nice to see Jim and Kevin up front on the mics next to Ed. Having the opening acts join them for a few songs was enjoyable. It added a new twist during "If I Had a Million $$," which was nice. It was especially distracting on that classic song, which was just painful to hear without Steven Page the first time. Perhaps time is healing my wounds as I even enjoyed Ed singing "The Old Apartment" and "Brian Wilson." BNL remains my favorite, and it was a great show!
